This involves formally ending your marriage.

What work we will undertake for you?

  • Provide advice on the Divorce Petition, or how to respond to it


  • We can assist you with completing a Divorce Petition, or respond to it on your behalf


  • Negotiate with the other side where necessary


  • Deal with any financial issues that may arise.


  • Help you obtain a Decree Nisi


  • Help you obtain a Decree Absolute

Time frame

A non-contested Divorce will normally be completed within six months of the Petition being filed with the Court. This period could be longer if the financial negotiations are complex, or the parties cannot agree without the assistance of the Court.

Fees


Fixed Fee - £900.00 + VAT (£1,080.00).


Payment on account


Payment to be taken prior to issue of divorce petition.

Matter Specific Disbursements


  • Divorce Petition Fee – £593.00 – (no VAT) – Client may be exempt from paying this fee subject to capital and income. Those receiving State benefits will be exempt.


  • if any other court fees are required they will be discussed with you at the time, prior to being incurred. These again will carry no VAT. This fee may be waived in full, or part, depending on your personal financial circumstance.
